Spotted Lanternfly - How Will This Invasive Species Impact the Green Industry in 2024

February 21, 2024 | 11:00am - 12:00pm | FREE

Register Now

As we prepare for the 2024, we will likely see an increase in detections of the spotted lanternfly (SLF) in Ohio. We anticipate the area within the 10 counties where SLF infestations are already present will presumably expand, and additional counties could likely be added as SLF sightings are reported.

How will this insect impact your business? What is the current quarantine? Will customers be calling about treatment options for the insect? Can you expand your business to manage Ailanthus altissima (tree of heaven) to reduce this invasive tree and a favorite host for SLF? Are you staff and customers aware of what to look for and how to report suspect infestations?

This session will address those questions, provide an update about the pest, and answer any questions that you might have

Who Should Attend:

  • Managers and team leaders
  • Business owners
  • Anyone interested in SLF sightings and impacts
