Scholarships

The Ohio Green Industry Association is pleased to offer the Phil Kozel Memorial Scholarship Program. Scholarships are based on merit and achievement and are available to college students majoring in landscape, nursery production, or related horticulture subject areas and high school FFA students who have shown an interest in pursuing a major in landscape, nursery production, or related horticulture subject areas at a two- or four-year institution upon graduation from high school.


The OGIA President’s Scholarship, a $3,000 scholarship, is awarded to one college candidate from a pool of applicants, in addition to several $2,000 scholarships.

Two $500 scholarships are awarded to high school FFA candidates.

 

Deadline to apply is September 20, 2024.

OGIA leads, promotes, and facilitates the success and growth of green industry businesses. More than 1,300 members comprise nursery stock growers, garden center operators, landscape contractors, landscape design and grounds maintenance firms, arborists, students enrolled in landscape and horticulture programs in the state and allied suppliers. The association has represented Ohio’s vital green industry for more than 100 years.
